Sama Bay, a coastal escape home to Sunrise Beach and Sunset Beach, wanted a grand opening experience that reflected the uniqueness of its location. The client sought an event that would capture the essence of the two shores, create an immersive experience for guests, and celebrate the natural beauty of Sama Bay.
We set out to translate the essence of Sama Bay’s two shores—Sunrise and Sunset—into a concept we called The Sun’s Journey, inspired by the sun’s path from dawn to dusk—creating an immersive narrative that guests could feel and experience. Guided by this theme, we designed every element to mirror the sun’s movement across the sky, from gradient textiles and mirrored surfaces to spherical lights and symbolic installations. Our goal was to create an atmosphere that felt both bold and serene, blending storytelling with spatial design to celebrate the spirit of Sama Bay in a way that was elegant, immersive, and unforgettable.
The celebration quickly gained recognition across Bahrain and the GCC, generating significant social media buzz and establishing Sama Bay as a must-visit coastal escape. The opening event was both bold in presence and soft in spirit, perfectly capturing Sama Bay’s essence. Guests were immersed in an atmosphere that transitioned seamlessly from the warmth of sunrise to the calm of sunset, experiencing the two shores as a single, unifying journey. The event not only highlighted the beauty of the location but also positioned Sama Bay as a destination of elegance, serenity, and timeless coastal charm.
